Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess customer requests for proposals (RFPs) and tenders, identifying key commercial, contractual, and strategic considerations.
- Lead cross-functional proposal development efforts, coordinating with Sales, Solutions, Legal, Finance, Service, and Project Management teams to deliver competitive and compliant bids.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies for complex transactions, identifying opportunities to optimize value and improve deal outcomes.
- Prepare, draft, negotiate, and finalize equipment supply and service agreements, including all related contractual documentation.
- Lead commercial negotiations with customers and external stakeholders, including consultants, legal advisors, and other third parties.
- Present proposals to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on commercial terms, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct commercial risk assessments and present transaction summaries to management and risk review committees for approval.
- Support project execution teams with post-contract activities, including contract amendments, variation orders, claims, and formal notices.
- Drive proposals from initial qualification through contract award while ensuring compliance with internal governance processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for building long-term relationships.
- Experience working across multicultural and international business environments.
- Proven track record of negotiating complex commercial agreements and successfully closing deals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and with limited or conflicting information.
- Willingness to travel and support intensive negotiation activities when required.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills in cross-functional and virtual teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented while maintaining a strategic and commercial perspective.
- Interest in renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable technologies.
- Experience negotiating large-scale, multi-million-dollar commercial contracts.
