LSP are partnered with a world-leading Contractor in the Data Centre industry, with a significant portfolio of projects across Europe. We are now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major project in Sweden (however also open to other European locations).

Responsibilities

Provide commercial support to the Construction Team across all Quantity Surveying functions, including but not limited to:
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and provide guidance to the Construction Team.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and report them promptly to management.
  • Prepare monthly progress applications, including accurate remeasurements, site variations, dayworks, and claims.
  • Support operational procurement activities and contracts in collaboration with the Procurement Department.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts from award through interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Monitor and forecast project turnover and cash flow.
  • Oversee the commercial performance of projects to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Identify, analyse, and report on business and project trends.
  • Review correspondence from employers, the design team, and subcontractors to identify contractual issues and draft responses.
  • Ensure the Construction Team meets all contractual requirements through ongoing advice and monitoring.
  • Lead, support, and mentor the wider Commercial Team on site.
 
Key Skills / Requirements
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics is essential.
  • Previous data centre experience is desirable but not essential.
  • At least five years of post-qualification experience is required.
  • Experience in an electrical role is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
