Senior Electrical Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide dedicated technical leadership for an offshore wind project’s Onshore Transmission Package.
In this role, you will lead electrical and grid engineering activities across the project lifecycle, helping ensure that engineering, design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities are delivered safely, to specification, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise electrical and grid engineering for the onshore transmission package.

Review and approve engineering deliverables, including design basis documents, reports, procedures, drawings, specifications, and technical data sheets.

Lead technical coordination with engineering and EPC contractors, work-package contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.

Oversee electrical systems including substations, HV transmission and distribution systems, main transformers, STATCOMs, reactors, HV cables, protection and control systems, and associated equipment.

Support grid-connection activities and engage with relevant Korean authorities, including KEPCO, KPX, and KESCO.

Provide technical support for tendering activities, including technical specifications, tender documentation, bid evaluations, and technical discussions.

Participate in equipment inspection and testing activities, including FAT, SAT, and SIT, where required.

Support technical due diligence, project development, and acquisition activities through technical evaluation and cost analysis.

Monitor engineering, fabrication, and construction activities; resolve technical issues and provide timely guidance to project management.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.

More than 10 years of relevant electrical or grid engineering experience.

Proven experience in renewable energy, offshore/onshore wind, power generation, oil and gas, infrastructure, or similar major-project environments.

Strong technical knowledge of electrical system design, substations, high-voltage equipment, grid connection, and reactive power compensation systems.

Experience taking electrical concepts from development through execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation.

Knowledge of Korean electrical and grid standards, including KEC and KEPCO requirements, as well as applicable IEC standards.

Familiarity with preliminary electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical data sheets.

Understanding of health and safety requirements for electrical systems.
