HSEQ Advisor

Our client is looking for an HSEQ Advisor to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project in Andover. This is a permanent, office/site-based role that involves providing competent health, safety, quality assurance, and site environmental advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify unsafe working conditions, stop work, agree on safe solutions, and re-brief staff.
• Assist the operational team with reviewing CDM documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and method statements/task briefings.
• Provide support and advice to promote sustainable practices.
• Ensure timely closure of requirements and findings.
• Promote the closure of NCRs and OFIs within the project.
• Encourage quality contributions and ensure timely feedback.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with site teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Promote health and wellbeing support and direct staff as needed.
• Prepare and deliver workforce engagement sessions.
• Lead Level 1 investigations.
• Proactively reduce risk through the planning process.

About You

• NEBOSH certification.
• Mental Health First Aider qualification.
• Valid driving licence.
• Understanding of working methods and industrial knowledge across infrastructure services.
• Experience with site inspections, risk assessments, and reviewing CDM documentation.
• Knowledge of sustainability and carbon capture.
• Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft 365 and HSQE-specific systems.
• Excellent listening behaviours and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime when required.
• Strong time management and relationship skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• High standard of written and numerical literacy.
