LSP Renewables are looking for a Grid Compliance Engineer to ensure our clients' growing renewable energy portfolio connects safely, reliably, and seamlessly to the power grid, directly supporting their transition to net zero.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will be the technical anchor for grid compliance across our development and operational assets. You will work with a diverse range of renewable technologies, maintaining a deep understanding of both transmission and distribution connection requirements. Collaborating with internal teams (Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations) and external industry bodies, you will ensure our projects meet the highest standards of engineering excellence.

In this role, you will be the technical anchor for grid compliance across our development and operational assets. You will work with a diverse range of renewable technologies, maintaining a deep understanding of both transmission and distribution connection requirements. Collaborating with internal teams (Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations) and external industry bodies, you will ensure our projects meet the highest standards of engineering excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Grid Interface Management: Lead compliance interfaces with the System Operator, Transmission Owners, and Distribution Network Operators across the entire lifecycle of multiple projects.
- Compliance & Registration: Manage grid code compliance processes, including market participation units and metering registrations.
- Technical Assessment: Support grid engineers in evaluating transmission and distribution connection offers for full conformance.
- Power System Studies: Conduct and review power system studies, proactively resolving technical issues to keep project milestones on track.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the project team's compliance SME, integrating compliance timelines into the broader project schedule.
- Asset Management: Guarantee ongoing code compliance for existing operational assets.
- Industry Engagement: Attend industry forums and seminars to stay ahead of evolving grid code changes and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Who You Are:
- Background: An engineering background in electrical or power systems.
- Experience: Proven track record as a Grid Compliance Engineer, with direct experience working alongside transmission and distribution network companies.
- Expertise: Skilled in successfully navigating and managing complex grid compliance processes.
- Safety & Risk Mindset: A solid understanding of risk management, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Mobility: A full valid driving licence and a willingness to travel as needed to support projects and partners.
