Construction Manager - BESS

Our client is looking for a Construction Manager - BESS to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise construction and installation activities on site.
• Monitor and verify that all works are carried out in accordance with approved construction and execution drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, agreed quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Participate in regular site and construction meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
• Track and document construction progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and Site Management Team.
• Coordinate ongoing activities with other site supervisors and discipline leads to ensure efficient project execution.
• Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and performance issues relating to contractors and subcontractors.
• Support the preparation and issuance of non-conformance reports and deficiency notices where required.
• Review and assess contractor variation claims and change requests.
• Assist with the inspection, testing, and acceptance of partial and final project deliverables.
• Support the implementation of corrective actions to ensure project objectives are achieved.

About You

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or certified Engineering Technician with relevant site supervision experience.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Proven experience supervising construction and installation activities on industrial, energy, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects.
• Ability to work independently with a structured and organized approach.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project team.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and renewable energy projects.
• Experience with power generation or electrical infrastructure projects and large-scale industrial construction projects.
