Commercial Manager

Our client is looking for a Commercial Manager to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project in London. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the commercial strategy and ensuring the financial success of various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial team to provide robust support to the contract delivery team.
• Oversee application and credit control processes to ensure timely payments.
• Maximise income through effective management strategies.
• Handle all processes related to costing and forecasting.
• Implement and manage change control systems.
• Assess and manage project risks to mitigate potential issues.
• Oversee the full sub-contract cycle from initiation to completion.
• Provide commercial advice to project teams to enhance decision-making.
• Develop and improve relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage dispute resolution processes efficiently.
• Contribute to the management and input of Commercial Services.
• Oversee training plans to ensure team development.
• Participate in corporate marketing and tendering efforts.

About You

• Proven experience in a commercial management role within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of financial management, including cost control and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in managing application and credit control processes.
• Experience in risk management and change control systems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to provide strategic commercial advice to project teams.
• Experience in managing dispute resolution processes.
• Knowledge of the full sub-contract cycle.
• Ability to contribute to corporate marketing and tendering.
