About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the development and construction of a utility-scale solar PV project in South Korea. This role will be responsible for providing technical oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle, from site feasibility and engineering review through construction management and project completion.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, EPC contractors, technical consultants, and site supervision teams to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction

  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments for prospective project sites.
  • Review site topography and optimize civil layouts to maximize plant capacity.
  • Assess geotechnical investigation reports and provide appropriate structural recommendations.
  • Perform site visits to identify physical constraints and evaluate potential impacts on long-term energy production.
  • Prepare EPC Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation.
  • Coordinate with technical advisors, owner’s engineers, lender’s engineers, environmental consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support EPC and O&M contractor tender evaluations, including technical reviews and cost analysis.
  • Review licensing and permitting documentation, including environmental and disaster impact assessments.
  • Verify permit requirements are properly incorporated into engineering designs.
  • Provide technical input to internal development and finance teams during project planning.

Construction Phase

  • Monitor construction progress alongside the site supervision team.
  • Review and verify EPC contractor payment applications.
  • Ensure construction quality complies with project specifications, applicable regulations, and engineering standards.
  • Review routine construction progress reports.
  • Support construction management activities with EPC contractors.
  • Witness site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Assist with environmental, health, and safety management throughout construction.

Requirements

Essential

  • Nationally recognized Civil Engineering certification/license.
  • Minimum 6 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of civil works associated with infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to work on-site throughout the construction phase.

Preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar PV construction or operations.
  • Experience supporting EPC contractors on renewable energy projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes, environmental assessments, and construction quality management.
  • English communication skills are advantageous but not essential.
