Job Location(s): Western Isles with office base in either Glasgow, Inverness, or Perth
Hybrid working:

Preconstruction - a mix of visits to Western Isles and base office working.
Construction typical expectation is to spend much of the working week on site in Lewis (Western Isles) with rotational arrangements where applicable

The role
Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of the Western Isles HVDC Link Project.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager, you will support the delivery of a £500m+ civil and building package through its execution phase. You will work closely with the delivery team and supply chain partners to coordinate activities, monitor performance, and ensure works are delivered safely, to programme, and in line with project requirements.
This is a site-focused role offering the opportunity to develop experience across construction delivery, NEC contract management, and stakeholder engagement within a complex, live, multi-contract delivery model Western Isles HVDC Link Project.
You will

Support delivery of a major civil and building package, working closely with the Project Manager and contractor
Monitor contractor performance against programme, quality and safety requirements, including site progress
Support project controls and reporting, including programme updates, risk registers and issue tracking
Assist with NEC3 contract administration, including early warnings, change management and compensation events
Coordinate interfaces across contractors, designers and stakeholders, while promoting a strong safety culture aligned with business standards

You have

Experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally in a sitebased role
Understanding of construction health & safety requirements, including CDM 2015
Familiarity with NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts and project delivery processes (practical experience preferred)
