Our client is at the forefront of renewable energy and clean fuels innovation. Specialising in green hydrogen and thermal power generation, it is a leader in the renewable energy sector. 

Role Description:
  • Identify and assess target land sites in port areas, ensuring alignment with technical requirements. Engage in day-to-day project-related tasks and represent projects in local development meetings.
  • Develop and negotiate land acquisitions, execute bidding and lease agreements, and maintain positive relationships with local governments, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead project permitting requirements and zoning compliance, coordinating site and environmental studies, interconnection processes, and other development tasks.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and negotiate contracts and documents with relevant parties, ensuring timely and effective reporting.
  • Develop and implement permitting strategies that balance risk, cost, and schedule, keeping the regional team informed with timely reporting and recommendations.
  • Conduct risk management by identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with international and local HSE regulations.
  • Coordinate and streamline project deliverables with technical advisors and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of the company's expertise.
  • Stay informed about new developments, regulations, and policies within the local hydrogen and ammonia operations, applying this knowledge to project planning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Legal residency and physical presence in the Taipei area.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemical, construction, project management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience as a project developer and/or permitting specialist in the hydrogen or ammonia supply chain industry, or in thermal power, water, chemical, industrial gas, or oil & gas industries.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and policies in relation to industrial gas is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent project planning and management skills, with proficiency in project management tools.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently and demonstrate resilience and flexibility in a multicultural environment.
  • Native proficiency in Chinese and business-level proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically.
