Our client, a leading marine and offshore contractor within the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced Party Chief to join their survey and construction operations team. This position plays a vital role in preparing, gathering, and processing survey data, ensuring accurate reporting of measurements and deviations in line with contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will support the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of offshore and nearshore projects, working closely with project management and client representatives throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities
- Determine and install all necessary measurement and survey equipment.
- Conduct and process measurements before, during, and after project execution, including on-site field checks.
- Verify, analyse, and interpret collected data, producing comprehensive reports for internal and client review.
- Maintain accurate survey databases and ensure traceability of measurement data.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of measuring equipment, ensuring regular maintenance in line with manufacturer instructions.
- Collaborate with project teams and client representatives to ensure consistent data quality and project alignment.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Party Chief in marine, offshore, or construction environments.
- Strong working knowledge of hydrographic survey techniques and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with offshore navigation and positioning systems.
- Additional experience with subsea acoustic positioning systems and multibeam echosounders is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, capable of collaborating across disciplines.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work in varied locations and conditions according to project needs.
Certifications and Requirements
- Eligibility to work offshore (valid VISA/Work Permit, e.g. US Citizen or OCS B1 WIND VISA).
- Valid offshore certifications, including:
- Full GWO (Basic Safety Training)
- VCA/SCC
- BOSIET
- Offshore Medical Certificate
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language proficiency is a plus.
