We are partnering with a leading renewable energy and infrastructure developer with a significant UK footprint and a growing portfolio of large-scale clean energy assets.

The business develops, owns, and operates infrastructure across renewable generation and associated energy assets, with a strong focus on long-term value creation, disciplined project financing, and robust portfolio management.

The organisation is seeking to strengthen its central finance function to support an expanding pipeline of operational and development-stage assets. This role will sit within the corporate finance team and work closely with senior UK finance leadership, supporting both lender engagement and project finance execution across the portfolio.

The Role
We are seeking a Project Finance & Economic Modeller to support financial structuring, modelling, and lender coordination across a portfolio of infrastructure and renewable energy assets.

This is a highly analytical and execution-focused role, acting as a key interface between finance, project, and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a central role in maintaining financial integrity across the portfolio while supporting ongoing financing, reporting, and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lender Coordination & Financial Management

• Act as a key point of contact for lenders, managing queries, information requests, and reporting requirements
• Monitor financial covenants and escalate potential risks or breaches where appropriate
• Manage ongoing lender reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery
• Support debt servicing activities, including DSCR monitoring, repayments, and distributions

• Maintain, develop, and enhance financial and economic models across operational and development assets
• Ensure models reflect project assumptions, financing structures, and performance expectations
• Support equity bridge facilities and wider project financing activities
• Liaise with external advisors to validate assumptions, outputs, and modelling approaches

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support internal decision-making and board-level reporting
• Support business planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes
• Work closely with commercial, technical, and project teams to ensure alignment of financial models with underlying project assumptions

• Assist with treasury activities, including loan tracking and facility administration
• Support broader financial management across the portfolio of infrastructure assets

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in financial or economic modelling
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, or related asset-heavy sectors is highly desirable
• Advanced Excel modelling capability

• Strong understanding of financial and economic principles
• Familiarity with infrastructure or energy project structures

• Project finance structuring experience
• Renewable energy project economics
• Understanding of UK tax and accounting frameworks

• Proactive, self-starting mindset with strong ownership of deliverables
• Strong communication skills with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
