The challenge

The project needed to fill multiple specialist positions to progress into its next phase. Hiring spanned engineering, procurement, consenting and project support, requiring a coordinated approach to recruitment, market rates and contractor assessments.

Our approach

We seconded an experienced LSP consultant into the project team, providing an onsite presence two days a week over nine months. This embedded support kept recruitment closely aligned with project priorities and allowed emerging requirements to be addressed quickly.

Working with hiring managers and project directors, we agreed hiring timelines, interview schedules and detailed job specifications. Salary benchmarking informed pay and contractor rates, helping position opportunities competitively within the market.

We also coordinated role and contractor IR35 assessments through our assessment portal, managing responses and status determination outcomes as part of the recruitment process.

Our delivery teams received detailed briefings on the project’s requirements, culture and values. Acting as an extension of the client’s team, we communicated its vision and opportunities to candidates while coordinating recruitment activity across stakeholders.

The result

LSP successfully filled key positions across engineering, construction, consenting, procurement, planning, risk and communications.

The campaign built the team needed to reach a major project milestone and supported progression into the next phase of development.
