US SOUTH FORK WIND BEGINS GENERATING ELECTRICITY!

US project, South Fork Wind officially announced the delivery of first power yesterday (6th December 2023). 

The project that is situated just off the coast of Long Island is a joint venture between Orsted and Eversource Energy, their first turbine is successfully providing power to the grid, making it the first utility-scale project in US federal waters.

The 12 wind turbines due to be complete within the coming weeks is expected to power around 70,000 US homes! 

Congratulations to all involved at Orsted & Eversource Energy – we look forward to seeing the fully operational site in the very near future!
