 IX Renewables' Rui-Li Phase 1 Floating Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan has gained a strategic partner in Japan's GF Corporation. This collaboration strengthens the project's potential to support Taiwan's green energy goals, according to IX Renewables.

The Rui-Li 1 project is set to participate in the upcoming floating offshore wind tender, which the Taiwanese government is expected to officially launch soon. The aim of this tender is to select projects that will serve as demonstrations for floating offshore wind in the Taiwan Strait, referred to as the Floating Demonstration. These demonstrations will lay the groundwork for future commercial-scale offshore wind tenders, which are anticipated to all be floating.

IX Renewables highlighted that ongoing discussions with both local and international stakeholders demonstrate strong confidence in the Rui-Li 1 project and the anticipated Floating Demonstration in Taiwan.

WTG Pre-Assembly Site Representative

Our client is looking for a WTG Pre-Assembly Site Representative to join their team, the Site Representative shall be present at the Pre-assembly site to observe activities associated with receipt, transportation, assembly and erection and load-out of the WTG components as well as any backloading activities to site. They shall monitor, record and report activities in order to pre-empt or notify the WTG package team aware of issues that may impact the current or future works, particularly with regards to e.g. safety, quality, performance, procedural and contractual compliance and programme. They shall act as the main point of contact for all activities at site, interfacing with other parties and managing the site meetings as required to support the works. The Site Representative shall also support the wider WTG package in any matters relating to the Pre-assembly site. Skillset/Experience Experience (minimum of 2-years) providing similar services in offshore renewables (preferably under an EPCI Contract environment); An excellent understanding of construction practices including but not limited to heavy lifting/transport (LOLER Reg’s), marine management, completion/sub assembly activities and inspection experience. Job Overview Position: Permit Manager Reporting to: Business Development Director Location: Ulsan Working Hours: 5 days a week, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Key Responsibilities Responsible for execution of permitting strategy to ensure timely approval of essential elements for construction and operation of the companys project complied with the related regulations. Thoroughly understand the requirements of the Industrial Complex Site Act, the Law on Land Planning and Utilization, the Port Act, and the Electric Business Act, and manage the project to ensure compliance with these regulations through coordination with relevant agencies. Manage and engage with stakeholders on all levels including governments, authorities, and residents in close collaboration with the DC3 permit managers. Continuously monitor legal changes and implement necessary actions. Provide the project team with updates on permit status and ensure awareness of the latest regulations. Prepare and submit onshore licensing/permit applications. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documents before submission to relevant authorities. Manage engineering companies and consultancies for permit requirements as agreed with Business Development Director. Provide ad hoc support to the development, EIA and offshore interface teams on offshore permitting and environmental matters. Continuously monitor the progress of permit procedures and take prompt action when necessary. Maintain continuous cooperation and communication with relevant agencies and authorities. Respond promptly to any issues that may arise during the licensing/permit process. Systematically manage and control all permit-related documents. Maintain all records and histories of the licensing/permit process for future reference and review. Liaise with the engineering and design project team. Provide support to engage with external stakeholders, such as authorities at all levels,universities and national institute researchers related to Project Development. Respond promptly and efficiently to change licensing/permit conditions. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil-engineering, Electrical-engineering, etc.). Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with permitting processes. Deep understanding and experience with the Industrial Complex Site Act, the Law on Land Planning and Utilization, the Port Act, and the Electric Business Act. Experience in preparing and submitting licensing/permit documents. Strong communication skills with relevant agencies and authorities. Problem-solving skills and ability to respond promptly. Ability to manage documents and maintain records. Experience in consenting works with a wide range of stakeholders in industrial complex sites would be beneficial. Strong ethical awareness and commitment to compliance with regulations. Essential skill in writing official documents. Proficiency in English, Korean conversation. Proactive and co-operative way of working and high attention to detail. Proficiency in both office and engineering programs like Hangul(한글), MS Office, AUTO-CAD.
