LSP RENEWABLES CELEBRATES NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK!

LSP News

This week is National Apprenticeship Week and this year’s theme is ‘Skills for Life’.

The government reported that learner participation in apprenticeships had grown by 2.9% to 572,210 in 2022. Apprenticeships give young adults the opportunity to train on the job whilst earning a wage and working towards a qualification.

Here at LSP Renewables we’re committed to assisting the next wave of top talent within the recruitment industry whilst also teaching them about the renewable energy industry to help them understand how they can help tackle climate change. Our apprentices join our busy and rapidly growing teams, we combine a mixture of industry training, online learning, assessments, and individual internal coaching to support apprentices in their first steps of their new career.

LSP’s apprenticeship scheme began in 2021 with the offering of either a Level 2 NVQ In Recruitment Resourcing (aged 16+) or a Level 3 NVQ in Recruitment Consultancy (aged 18+). The two courses allow you to learn a new and developing industry whilst gaining transferable skills that you will carry through life.

Hear from our apprentices!

Dylan and Sasha joined us straight from their GCSEs at the age of 16 and have had nothing but determination and drive throughout the process. This resulted in them both achieving a distinction in their Level 2 NVQ in Recruitment Resourcing.

Sasha Elston stated “The LSP apprenticeship scheme has not only shaped my career path in ways I didn't expect at 16, but also shaped me as a person. The ongoing support and training I have received both internally and externally has allowed me to excel within my role. The team at LSP made me feel welcome from the get-go. They are fun, friendly, and always go above and beyond.”

Dylan Church also stated “LSP have created a great opportunity for me within the recruitment industry through their apprenticeship scheme. Their support and teaching mechanisms have allowed me to not only progress my career so far already, but also extend my knowledge within the renewable energy industry. LSP is a great, fun and inclusive team and I look forward to the next steps of my career."

After the fantastic success LSP are now proud to commit to an annual intake of apprentices and have been promoting this within our local community by attending school careers fairs.
