Scott joined LSP Renewables in March 2021 as a Senior Consultant, and due to his outstanding contributions, he was recently promoted to Head of Solar. Head of Construction - Solar PV

LSP Renewables have partnered with a leading independent power producer (IPP) to recruit a Head of Construction for the UK Solar PV sector. Our client is a market leader in the UK Solar PV industry, boasting a portfolio of over 800MW of operational assets across the UK, Netherlands, and Italy. The successful candidate will oversee the entire project pipeline, guiding projects from pre-construction to completion. They will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality, revenue-generating assets by coordinating internal teams and managing external contractors. Key Responsibilities Lead and Manage Construction: Oversee all construction activities, ensuring alignment with our client’s and investors’ interests. Risk & Hazard Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments and integrate lessons from operational plants to improve project feasibility. Project Oversight: Manage projects from planning approval through EPC construction, commissioning, and warranty periods. Contractor & Procurement Support: Assist in the EPC and ICP tendering process, contract negotiations, and awards. Financial Oversight: Manage contract milestones, advise on retentions, and handle liquidated damage claims. Regulatory Compliance: Act as the Competent Person for CDM matters and ensure projects meet all regulatory and contractual obligations. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with EPCs, ICPs, DNOs, landowners, and local communities. Project Reporting: Provide clear progress updates and interpret contractual variations for the investment team. Budget & Performance Tracking: Develop budgets, monitor expenditure, and establish KPIs for construction projects. Environmental & ESG Compliance: Work with the ESG team to implement responsible sourcing and environmental policies. Post-Commissioning Oversight: Ensure smooth handover of projects to asset management teams, managing defects and performance issues. Insurance & Data Security: Oversee insurance policies and ensure data security in line with GDPR and company policies. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to fire, health, and safety policies, attending required training. Handover Management: Develop comprehensive handover packs for seamless transition to asset management. Requirements Degree level qualification in Engineering, Construction or equivalent. Extensive experience in the management of the pre-construction, EPC/construction, and early stages of EPC warranty period/post-construction phases of utility-scale solar PV, co-located PV & BESS and stand-alone BESS, ideally in a commercial/owner’s representative context. Strong technical understanding, communication and project management skills, underpinned by knowledge of, and commitment to, the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management and planning compliance. Must be able to work in a pressured, fast-paced environment, managing high performing teams and collaborating across a range of internal business areas and external consultants.

LSP Renewables have partnered with a leading IPP in the CEE renewable energy industry to recruit a Construction Project Manager, to lead the late-stage development and execution of large scale Onshore Wind projects in Estonia and wider CEE region.  Our client have been operating since 2019 and have already closed investments of more than 300 MW across Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and Romania. As well as investing and acquiring projects, they also develop their own projects in-house. They have an impressive development pipeline (7GW+) of Onshore Wind, Solar PV and BESS assets. They have 130MW of Onshore Wind projects which will reach RtB in 2025 and need to be constructed by the end of 2027.  Key Responsibilities Lead/manage relevant stakeholders to finalize the technical design of wind park Organize relevant surveys and studies (geology, topography and the likes) Communicate with wind turbine manufacturers and other relevant contractors required for the construction of wind park (roads, foundations, electrical works) and lead/manage all relevant preparatory activities for signing the contracts Project management during the construction phase, ensuring the subcontractors are fulfilling their contractual requirements Ensure Onshore Wind projects are delivered on time and within budget Requirements Experience managing the construction of large scale Onshore Wind projects, with strong project management skills Degree educated in an Engineering or relevant discipline Strong communication skills - must have the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders Strong commercial acumen - contract management experience

Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee project development and project engineering of onshore solar project (220 MW). Control and evaluate the EPC works on site during all the construction and commissioning phase until start of O&M, as well as supervision of the requirements and/or conditions agreed with the lender´s technical advisor, identifying incidents, proposing and taking actions. Quality assurance for the project by keeping ensured the adherence of construction activities to the highest quality standards through rigorous inspection, testing, and commissioning procedures. In charge of managing third-party technical consultants, relevant stakeholders and regulators on the technical side. Ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place having regard to budgets, schedule, quality, risk and activity monitoring. Strategic project management by successfully developing and implementing a comprehensive management and control system for the EPC phase, ensuring seamless coordination between project subcontractors and stakeholders. Maintenance of a rigorous HSE framework throughout the site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and fostering a culture of safety consciousness among teams, leading to incident-free operations and a safe working environment. Acting as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and third parties, ensuring smooth coordination and communication throughout the construction process. Manage and coordinate project specific engagements with project’s stakeholders, organising project messaging and in-person consultation events, regular communication with community stakeholders and the wider design team. Commencing progress reports, inventory lists, and quality reports to track project milestones and ensure accountability. Liaise with local authorities, utilities, suppliers, contractors and any other parties relevant to the delivery of the assigned project. Experience Required Essential 5+ years of experience in PV project construction (> 200MW). Proven experience of managing a portfolio of largescale projects – overseeing the delivery of complex solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes. Experience managing EPC contractors and resolving contractual issues. Desired Project management certification. Competencies and Skills Required Fluency in English ( written and spoken) and Bulgarian Ability to work autonomously. Availability to travel to site on a weekly basis and spending on average min. 4-5 days on site. Technical /Specialist Expertise Strong technical knowledge in solar and distribution networks in Europe Strong understanding of the requirements of stakeholders and industry. Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Office Suite incl. MS Project, Visio. Education Required Valuable university degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Design or similar.
