O&M Service Engineer - BESS

The BESS Field Service Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty repairs along with commissioning activities on energy storage units at various BESS sites. This role is to report to the OM Manager. Responsibilities Maintain Energy Storage Systems to a high standard by carrying out regular inspection and maintenance, annual capacity tests, trouble shooting and reactive maintenance works Perform system software and firmware upgrades Monitor operation performance monitoring and data assessment Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers Troubleshoot equipment located at BESS sites Manage spare parts Responsible for safety work complying with local safety regulations and safety standards Conduct risk assessment and implement safety measures Keep up to date with any administrative duties such as timesheets, daily vehicle checks and providing daily job logs describing issues and actions taken during service trips Assist the in-house system engineering group in product development and/or project work Provide suggestions based on field experience, to improve the products Essential Requirements Qualification in an electrical/ electro-mechanical discipline Previous electrical or multi skilled maintenance experience Basic IT skills (Word Processing, Outlook, Excel, IP and software for troubleshooting) Qualification of working on Site safely This role involves travelling to different sites. Client Representative - Secondary Steel

SOV Employers Representative for installation and completion works of Foundation Secondary Structures at our clients Offshore Wind Farm. Role will be offshore based (after onshore onboarding) and will be based on an SOV overseeing installation and completion activities carried out by the contractor as part of the secondary steel installation scope. Key Responsibilities Ensure that tasks are completed safely, on time, and with due-consideration and attention to the project requirements (RAMS) for the assigned scope of work. Manage processes to agree and implement changes to RAMS as necessary, utilising the project change management framework. Review and understand the Project’s HSE Plan including the Emergency Response Plan and ensure Contractor adheres to the HSE requirements; Review health and safety documents as required before execution phase commences and keep updated on changes in the documents; Monitor Safety Observations Cards (SOCs) during daily meetings and ensure they are recorded within the DPR and HSE management systems. Highlight any of particular note or concern toward Offshore Site Management and HSE team. Participate in safety walks with health and safety representatives from the Project Company and Contractor. Identify and report any safety-related observations on a day to day basis whilst performing primary duties. Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPR) which will include progress of the works, mechanical breakdown, weather downtime etc. and ensure the DPRs are signed by all required parties (as appropriate); Ensure Contractor compliance with technical/operational requirements and that works are executed in a safe manner and to the required quality; Attend daily meetings, toolbox talks and other discussions as well as package/project meetings. Aligning and escalating topics (as necessary) to the Offshore Site Management. Participate in meetings (including pre- and post-installations) to review performance, lessons learned, and future improvements. During all defined key activities and otherwise as often as practicable be present as a witness during installation. Participate in walkdowns, progress monitoring, identification of non-conformance and witnessing in accordance with project Quality Management Plan and inspection plans. Requirements Experience The candidate shall have demonstrable competence and experience including: A minimum of 7-years experience of similar services in offshore renewable industry; Working knowledge of offshore construction contracts with a good understanding of the contractual implications of breakdowns, delays, weather downtime etc. Strong technical skills and significant proven experience in the construction, installation of offshore wind energy structures (Preferably in the installation of monopiles or secondary steel). The ability to read and understand technical documents and observe (offshore) operations and ensure these are carried out according to the contractual requirements (e.g. understanding of reasonable endeavours clauses) Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and succinct manner (Fluent written and spoken English) Knowledge about industry standards and regulations, including but limited to International Maritime Organization (IMO) & IMCA guidelines; The candidate shall demonstrate the following skill set: Analytical skills – ability to work to a high level of accuracy and to produce a high standard of written work Evidence of success in advocacy amongst stakeholders and forming/maintaining working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment Experience of large-scale infrastructure projects and consultations Strong organisational skills with the ability to structure work to meet deadlines The ability to respond to changing priorities and demands and adopt a flexible approach to working Certifications Degree in civil / structural engineering, naval architecture, ocean engineering, or a closely aligned discipline.
