Senior Manager Procurement & Supply Chain

Our client is looking for a Senior Manager Procurement & Supply Chain to lead and support end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities for a major renewable energy project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies for offshore wind projects and development opportunities.
• Lead market engagement, prequalification, sourcing strategies, and tender governance for direct procurement activities.
• Support negotiation of commercial terms for major equipment and contracts, coordinating with various departments to achieve balanced outcomes.
• Support procurement across key offshore wind packages, including wind turbines, foundations, and offshore substations.
• Maintain intelligence on global offshore wind supply markets and provide recommendations to project decision-makers.
• Establish and maintain relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 contractors, and critical suppliers.
• Represent procurement interests in joint ventures and partner-led projects, ensuring timely governance and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain complete and auditable procurement files.
• Identify and mitigate procurement and supply chain risks, maintaining risk and opportunity registers.
• Support cost plans and drive whole-life value through competition and negotiation.
• Ensure controlled handover from procurement to contract management and project delivery.
• Build effective relationships across various departments and promote consistent ways of working.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement, business, or a related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant procurement and supply chain experience, particularly in offshore wind or renewable energy projects.
• Demonstrable experience leading complex, high-value competitive tenders and negotiations.
• Strong understanding of offshore wind project development and delivery.
• Experience with international supplier markets and strategic supplier relationship management.
• Excellent sourcing strategy, tender management, and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial judgement and financial awareness.
• Effective leadership and stakeholder management skills in multicultural environments.
• Proficiency in e-sourcing systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
