Senior Cable Equipment Manager

Position: Senior Cable Equipment Manager

Location: Indonesia

Scope:

• Ensure readiness and reliability of all cable laying and cable handling equipment
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of cable vessel equipment
• Supervise equipment operation, inspection, testing, and commissioning
• Lead troubleshooting, failure analysis, and equipment improvement
• Manage critical spare parts and equipment lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with HSE, class, regulatory, and manufacturer requirements
• Lead the equipment/technical team and coordinate with vessel and project teams

Required Certs:

• Offshore certificates preferred due to potential vessel based work

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Mechatronics, or related Engineering
• Min. 10 years of relevant experience in submarine cable, subsea, offshore, marine, or oil & gas operations
• Min. 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role, leading multidisciplinary technical teams
• Hands-on experience in submarine cable laying, installation, repair, or maintenance preferred
• Good understanding of the submarine cable installation lifecycle and operations
• Experience with LCE/Tensioner, Cable Plough, ROV/LARS/TMS, cable handling, jointing, and restoration equipment highly advantageous
• Experience in budgeting, OPEX/CAPEX planning, cost control, resource planning, and vendor/OEM management
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, prioritization, and decision-making skills
