Quantity Surveyor (Managing)

Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor (Managing) to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project in Bathgate.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and actively develop a growing team of commercial professionals.
• Commercial Performance: Oversee the financial and commercial success of power sector projects from contract award to final account, ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Contract Administration: Expertly manage and administer NEC contracts, with specific focus on NEC Options C and E.
• Strategic & Risk Management: Provide strong commercial and contractual leadership, supporting high-level commercial strategies, risk mitigation, and negotiations.

About You

• Experience: Proven track record as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the power, energy, utilities, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
• Leadership: Demonstrable experience in managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing commercial teams.
• Contract Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience working with NEC contracts (particularly Options C and E).
• Core Skills: Exceptional commercial, contractual, and negotiation abilities backed by a proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially focused mindset.
• Communication: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
