The logistics coordinator reports to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for monitoring and assisting the principal contractor in the provision and delivery of Logistics and Services across their allocated projects within our Clients Portfolio. 

The role is responsible for ensuring the contractors logistic provision will provide a flawless service for the Project Construction activities, while ensuring project materials are available managed and maintained as required and available for delivery to project schedules.

  • Act as a liaison between the Marine Function, the Project Team and the relevant Principal Contractors and subcontractors responsible for all elements of Logistics.
  • Assist the principal contractor and Client management in providing local knowledge and support effectively managing onsite personnel’s requirements i.e. travel, transportation, security, accommodation, medical, etc.
  • Monitor and support the PC and their subcontractors in the planning, coordination, and monitoring the movement of materials, equipment and personnel within the project.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure that logistics support aligns with key construction milestones.
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings and communicate updates to the Logistics Manager, where appropriate.
  • Influence with authority; guide contractors, vendors and stakeholders towards share logistics goals and escalate any potential delays identified to the logistics manager.

Essential Criteria & qualifications:    

  • Personal commitment and proactive approach to SHES and Quality.
  • Logistics experience in the construction sector.
  • Proven track record in managing contractors on complex and major projects across the different logistics disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. 
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement.
  • A strong team player.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure of tight deadlines.


Desirable Criteria & qualifications:   

  • Good understanding of Logistics and Service Provisions for onshore and offshore campaigns.
  • Experience with capturing and implementing lessons learned.
  • Aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas.
  • Flexible approach to work.
