Our client is looking for an HSE Advisor - Execution to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project. This role will involve providing standardised QHSE support for cross-site delivery teams, ensuring the safe planning, mobilization, and execution of projects primarily across Generation sites in the UK, with potential support for teams in Northern Europe. The position is based in Grimsby or Barrow-in-Furness, with a hybrid working model requiring 2-3 days a week in the office and offshore travel as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and mobilize projects and suppliers for safe execution, including developing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Proactively support the safety culture through offshore presence, inspections, emergency drills, and exercises from vessels and turbines.
  • Investigate incidents and ensure correct registrations in the incident management system to apply learning across the business.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for standardisation, procedural and design improvements, and run related improvement projects.
  • Support projects with the development and implementation of UK emergency response performance standards and related assurance activities, including facilitation of HAZID sessions.


About You

  • You care about people, are approachable, and can communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
  • You are familiar with running small projects and take ownership of areas of responsibility, working through challenges to achieve results.
  • You have experience in a complex corporate environment, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities due to changes in project plans.
  • You have experience working in offshore environments, both in oil & gas and wind, and are willing to travel to operational offshore sites in the UK.
  • You hold a full GWO including Enhanced First Aid for offshore wind and an OGUK medical certificate including Chester step.
  • You possess a technical background and preferably have a NEBOSH general certificate as a minimum.
  • You have high HSE risk management competencies and experience with bowties, barrier management, performance standards, and assurance activities.
  • You have experience in facilitating HAZIDs and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • You maintain successful cooperation and collaboration with HSE stakeholders.
