Distribution Protection Specialist Lead

Our client is looking for a Distribution Protection Specialist Lead to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Standards: Develop parameterization, logic, and standard schematics for multifunctional PAC IEDs based on system operator requirements.
• Testing & Quality: Conduct homologation testing with commissioning specialists to confirm compliance with technical specifications.
• Tenders & Design Reviews: Draft technical specs, evaluate vendor tender submissions, and lead design reviews and stakeholder training.
• Team Leadership: Mentor project engineers, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.

About You

• Experience: 7+ years in substation secondary systems design or PAC application engineering.
• Education: Level 8 degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of power protection principles, software tools, IED specs, and tender evaluations.
• Logistics: Valid driver’s license, vehicle access, and full legal authorization to work locally.
