Control Engineers - Germany

Our client is looking for Control Engineers (x6) to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project in Nordem, Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out switching operations as an authorised switching operator in collaboration with offshore teams, including the preparation and review of switching schedules and execution permits.
• Act as the interface to the national Transmission System Operator.
• Participate in risk assessments for offshore work permits.
• Monitor and respond to alarms within the SCADA system.
• Provide electrical safety rules inductions to employees of external contractors.
• Support fault finding and troubleshooting activities, including raising work orders in SAP and coordinating immediate corrective actions when faults occur.
• Contribute to the preparation of market notifications.
• Support improvements to Control Room processes.
• Successfully complete all relevant training and certification programmes.

About You

• A professional qualification in Electrical Engineering and experience performing switching operations on high-voltage and/or medium-voltage systems.
• A strong safety mindset.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and German.
• User-level IT skills, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based applications.
• A thorough and systematic approach to work, with the ability to perform under pressure and maintain a high level of personal and professional reliability.
