Construction Manager
Act as our clients lead site representative and maintain effective day-to-day interfaces with contractors, suppliers, the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Provide visible site leadership and promote the required standards for safety, health, environment, quality and behaviour.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure that works are carried out in accordance with approved design information, Works Information, RAMS, planning conditions and environmental commitments.
Confirm that pre-start requirements, construction documentation, permits, licences and other necessary controls are in place before work proceeds.
Lead or support site briefings, coordination meetings, toolbox talks and other construction management forums.
Monitor progress against the programme, review four-week lookaheads and escalate emerging delays, constraints or interface issues promptly.
Support quality assurance through inspections, verification of hold and witness points, defect identification and completion of required records.
Undertake the Supervisor role under the NEC contract where delegated, including defect management and relevant contract administration support.
Maintain contemporary site records, including diaries, photographs, progress updates and evidence required for governance, handover and final file completion.
Coordinate with engineering, operational, safety, environmental and stakeholder teams to manage project interfaces effectively.
