Consent & Environment Manager

Our client is looking for a Consent & Environment Manager to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on consents condition discharge, environmental licensing, and the preparation of environmental contract specifications and obligations to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor and developer environmental and consenting compliance, meeting all statutory and internal obligations.
• Scope, tender, award, and manage multiple consultancy contracts to support the delivery of EnvCoW support services and post-planning submission surveys and assessments.
• Develop and maintain critical external stakeholder relationships, communicating the importance of infrastructure and project requirements, and building consensus around project decision-making.
• Foster positive relationships with contractors and wider project teams to enhance environmental and regulatory performance and compliance.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and audits on delegated projects to ensure environmental and planning consent compliance.

About You

• Demonstrable project management experience with a strong understanding of managing all aspects of major project delivery, including project setup, consultant management, costs, risk, quality, and timing.
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and negotiate effectively.
• Ideally possess an environmental-related degree, preferably with a postgraduate qualification, along with experience in a relevant industry such as infrastructure or environmental consultancy.
• Membership of an appropriate environmental professional body is desirable.
