Site Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the management of all electrical construction, maintenance, fitting, and removal of overhead line (OHL) plant and equipment. This role is integral to ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of site operations. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team environment, collaborating closely with the Construction Manager and other key stakeholders to maintain seamless project delivery. This position demands a proactive approach to site safety, quality control, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day work program for nominated site staff.
• Deliver daily briefs, point of work risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
• Ensure the safe, effective, and efficient implementation of site operations.
• Procure and provide materials and supplies to avoid delays and maintain team efficiency.
• Ensure all construction and demolition work complies with RAMS, lifting plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Supervise and assist with the construction, maintenance, and fitting of OHL plant and equipment.
• Liaise with safety and design teams to address and resolve issues.
• Assist the Construction Manager with quality control by maintaining and completing documentation.
• Comply with all H&SE standards, quality standards, operational procedures, and policies.
• Chair site meetings with clients and actively contribute to team development.
• Lead by example in safety behaviour and management, encouraging safe working practices.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years' experience working on sites operating from 11–400kV.
• Completion of the company's Supervisor’s course.
• Relevant accreditations for the role.
• Basic reading, writing, and maths skills.
• Good understanding of reading and interpreting drawings and documents.
• Computer literate in line with the client’s systems.
• SMSTS and CSCS certifications.
