Our client is looking for an experienced Site Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely, safe, and budget-conscious delivery of Overhead Line (OHL) Transmission works on site. The Engineers will play a crucial role in driving the performance of essential subcontractor partners to facilitate the planned OHL work. Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Engineers, the Engineers will manage various OHL tasks, including steel work replacement, fittings replacement, and full refurbishment.

The Engineers must understand the delivery principles and basic design requirements of OHL works to ensure safe and efficient execution. They will support the delivery of projects to the highest standards of safety, sustainability, environmental, and quality practices. The role also involves maintaining a collaborative working environment that meets the needs of clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring that employees remain motivated and engaged.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand delivery risks to achieve targets and deliver tasks.
• Manage customer relationships during delivery, including change and decision-making.
• Support and promote Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures.
• Participate in Safety Tours and drive safe working practices.
• Conduct site audits in line with tasks and Sensible Monitoring Schedule.
• Support timely incident investigations.
• Ensure documentation is in place to commence works.
• Collaborate to utilise resources efficiently.
• Display visible management and positive communication.

Qualifications

• HNC or above in a related subject.
• Industry experience within construction.
• Experience in delivering Overhead Line industry projects up to 400kV is preferable.
• Team leadership or supervision experience.
• Valid driving licence.
• Willingness to travel.
