Base Location: Glasgow or Perth
Working Pattern: Typical expectation is to spend the majority of the working week on site in Lewis (Western Isles)
The Role
Due to significant and sustained growth across their business, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Offshore Delivery team.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the executionphase delivery of a Converter Building, managing a major civil and building package valued at £500m+ as part of a nationally significant HVDC infrastructure programme.
This is a sitefocused role requiring strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex interfaces within a live, multipackage environment.
You will
  • Put safety at the heart of everything you do, ensuring all works are delivered in line with the business Safety Licence and Safety Golden Rules – “If it’s not safe, we don’t do it.” Ensure projects are refined, constructed and commissioned in accordance with regulatory requirements whilst championing the Safety Golden Rules.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of a £500m+ civil and building package as part of the wider HVDC project, including management of the delivery contractor.
  • Have full accountability for the NEC3 contract management of your package, including interface management and change control.
  • Manage the package programme, refining it through preconstruction and controlling delivery through execution in collaboration with the delivery contractor.
  • Motivate and develop project teams in line with the business’ core values, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
You have
  • Proven experience leading teams to deliver large civil engineering or infrastructure projects (£100m+) through the execution phase.
  • Prior experience on HVDC converter stations or similarly complex MissionCritical Facilities is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience in NEC3 contract management, including negotiation, administration and ability to lead on complex contractual matters.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to operate effectively across multiple stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • A strong understanding of project management systems, controls, and governance required for large, regulated infrastructure projects.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, construction, or project management.
