Are you an experienced NEC Project Manager with a passion for delivering impactful energy solutions? This role offers a unique chance to lead some of the largest capital projects in the industry, contributing to sustainable and innovative energy initiatives that benefit communities and businesses alike.
In this hybrid position, you will be required to attend the site office in Slough or Newport at least two days a week. The role is pivotal within the Distributed Energy Construction Team, where your strategic oversight, commercial acumen, and unwavering commitment to safety and quality will be paramount.
Role Highlights:
- Leadership and Impact: Take charge of complex capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet safety, budget, time, and quality targets.
- Strategic Influence: Represent the company as the senior point of contact, interfacing with directors, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Innovation and Sustainability: Develop and implement construction strategies that reduce risk, maximise value, and support long-term asset performance.
- Safety Culture: Champion a strong Safety, Health, Environment & Wellbeing (SHEW) culture across project teams and supply chain partners.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to Project Managers, fostering the growth of future delivery leaders within the company.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering major capital projects (over £50m) within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Stakeholder Management: Expertise in managing stakeholders, commercial contracts (NEC3/4), and driving cost and performance outcomes.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and SHEW compliance within construction environments.
- Qualifications: Industry-recognised project management qualifications (PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent).
- Leadership: Effective team leadership, contractor management, and collaboration across matrix organisations.
