Technical Solutions Engineer – Solar

We are hiring a Technical Solutions Engineer to support the technical side of solar (and adjacent BESS) opportunities in Mexico. The role focuses on solution design, technical support for proposals, and working alongside the BD team and partners (EPCs/distributors) to ensure projects are technically viable and aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the commercial team during pre-sales and tender stages.

• Develop basic solar system designs and technical documentation (layouts, SLDs, equipment sizing support).

• Support proposal development: technical specs, BOQ support, and compliance with client/EPC requirements.

• Coordinate with EPCs, distributors, and internal engineering teams to validate solutions.

• Assist with technical due diligence: reviewing site/project requirements, constraints, and assumptions.

• Help answer technical questions from customers and partners during sales cycles.

• Contribute to product/market feedback as the company scales in Mexico.

Candidate Profile

• 2–5 years experience as an electrical/solar engineer (early-career acceptable).

• Background in solar design/engineering (BESS exposure is a plus but not mandatory).

• Comfortable with technical documentation and proposal support; detail-oriented.

• Collaborative mindset—can translate technical points into clear inputs for BD/sales.

• English preferred/required to work with global stakeholders.

• Preference for local Mexico-based talent, ideally Mexico City.
