Overview

Our client is an international renewable energy company specialising in the construction and O&M of ground‑mounted solar power plants across nine European countries. They are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to support their continued growth and strengthen their commercial presence in the UK.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with partners and new clients.
Analyse client portfolios and project pipelines to identify opportunities and set priorities.
Assess market needs, regulatory frameworks, and customer‑specific requirements.
Evaluate project opportunities and support strategic decision‑making.
Manage key accounts, ensuring long‑term client satisfaction and engagement.
Lead the acquisition process for large‑scale solar power plants—from initial introduction to contract signature.
Act as the main point of contact between clients and internal project teams, ensuring requirements are clearly communicated and met.
Prepare and manage commercial proposals, integrating technical and financial considerations.
Define and review technical and commercial project requirements alongside project managers and clients.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Construction teams.
Review, assess, and distribute client‑supplied data packages to relevant internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Completed commercial and/or technical degree or equivalent qualification.
Several years of experience in sales and key account management.
Proven experience working with clients such as utility companies, IPPs, and asset management firms.
Background in the renewable energy sector: ideally solar PV and/or battery storage.
Experience managing offer and tender processes.
Strong skills in contract management and negotiation.
Knowledge of cost calculation and budgeting.
