Document Controller

Job Overview

We are looking for experienced Document Controller for a landmark EPC project in Northern Germany, a critical piece of infrastructure for Germany's long-term energy supply and security.
The project is a major civil and mechanical construction undertaking with a total value in one billion EUR. Project duration runs to the end of 2027, with an initial contract of 12 months and strong prospects for extension.

Key Responsibilities

•    Own and manage the full document control lifecycle - from receipt and registration through distribution, review, revision, and archiving
•    Maintain and administrate the project's Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) as the central platform for all project documentation
•    Ensure all documentation complies with EPC contract requirements, client specifications, and applicable international standards
•    Coordinate document workflows between engineering, construction, QA/QC, procurement, and client-side stakeholders
•    Track and chase outstanding document submittals, reviews, and approvals - maintaining full visibility for project management
•    Support preparation and compilation of final handover dossiers and as-built documentation packages
•    Produce regular reporting on document status, backlog, and KPIs
•    Maintain strict version control and audit trail across all project documents

Must-Haves

•    Proven experience in document management on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects (min. 1-2 years)
•    Hands-on proficiency with at least one major EDMS platform, such as: ThinkProject, Aconex (Oracle), Procore, Newforma, or equivalent
•    Solid understanding of EPC documentation requirements, transmittal workflows, and revision management
•    SCC / VCA certification - or willingness to obtain it before day one 
•    Fluent in English - written and spoken - German is a strong preference.
