  • Lead WTG technology screening and concept definition, including turbine ratings, rotor diameter, drivetrain selection, and power/thrust curves, to support site definition, permitting, and early-stage business case development.
  • Develop and manage Employer’s Requirements and detailed technical specifications for the WTG package, covering execution, performance, and long-term operational needs.
  • Conduct and oversee technical design reviews of WTG supplier documentation across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and certification criteria.
  • Drive engineering cost–benefit analyses to optimize turbine selection and micro-siting, focusing on AEP maximization, reliability, and LCoE reduction.
  • Define and manage technical interfaces with foundations, electrical systems (HV/MV, SCADA), and marine operations to ensure seamless package integration.
  • Ensure quality assurance across design documentation, analytical models, manufacturing, and site execution, including completeness of as-built documentation.
  • Support procurement and contract management by preparing technical specifications (e.g. TSA, SMA), evaluating bids, and providing expert input during tendering and negotiations.

  • Expert-level knowledge of WTG systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic), including troubleshooting, pre-assembly logistics, commissioning, and operational support.
  • Practical experience using aero-elastic load simulation tools (e.g. Bladed, HAWC2, FLEX5) for turbine design, load assessment, and interface validation.
  • Working knowledge of foundation design and analysis tools (e.g. SACS, SESAM, PLAXIS) to support technical interface management and design verification.
  • Strong capability in technical analysis, design optimization, and complex problem-solving across the full asset lifecycle—from development through operations.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards, certification, and safety requirements, including IEC standards, GWO training, and engagement with certification bodies (DNV, TÜV, LR, etc.).
  • Experience bridging technical, commercial, and contractual requirements, supporting tendering, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Ability to operate both independently as a subject matter expert and collaboratively within multidisciplinary, international project teams.
