Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Lead Project Lawyer in connection with the development of the windfarm for the assigned package as required  
  • Draft, assess, negotiate and conclude supply and installation agreements and associated project documentation for the assigned package in accordance with the project’s wider contracting and procurement framework 
  • Proactively contribute to the development of the package’s procurement strategy, evaluation methodology, call for tender, proposal assessment, award recommendations and agreement implementation 
  • Provide robust legal and contractual advice to engineering, procurement, commercial and management functions in connection with the package 
  • Assist the project in all areas of legal risk applicable to the package(s) 
  • Liaise and coordinate with retained legal firms appointed in connection with other construction packages/financing 
  • Prepare documentation for and present to senior leadership teams and other internal and external stakeholders 
  • Attend internal and external stakeholder meetings 
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as required 

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least eight years PQE in a law firm and/or in-house 
  • Knowledge of and a proven track record in negotiating and managing major construction and service agreements in the energy and/or infrastructure sector under English law 
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant contract standards  (e.g. FIDIC,NEC, LOGIC, BIMCO) 
  • Working proficiency of MS Office 
  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken) 
  • Experience of offshore wind projects
  • Experience in project finance transactions 
  • ADR experience (LCIA, ICC) (not essential)
  • Experience of the UK’s offshore wind regulatory framework (not essential)
