Investment Banking Analyst/Associate – Energy & Sustainability
Our client is a boutique investment bank specialising in capital solutions, M&A advisory, and private placements across energy, energy infrastructure, and technology. With decades of experience across Europe, North America, and Asia, they combine deep sector knowledge with a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture, driven by sustainability and the energy transition.
The Role
They’re looking for a motivated Analyst 3 / Associate 1 to join the team. You’ll take ownership of transaction execution, financial analysis, and client engagement across high-impact deals. I’m also keen to hear from German-native or fluent candidates, including those with German upbringing.
What You’ll Do

Build financial models and perform valuations (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions).

Prepare pitch materials, investment committee papers, and other client deliverables.

Support full deal lifecycle: client management, due diligence, data room coordination, and stakeholder communication.

Conduct market research and company mapping to build sector expertise.

Mentor junior analysts and ensure high-quality output across all deliverables.

Represent the firm at industry events, developing relationships across the sector.
What They’re Looking For

2–4 years’ experience in investment banking or corporate finance.

Strong financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills.

Excellent communication in English; German fluency or native level a strong plus.

MSc, MBA, or equivalent academic credentials.

Entrepreneurial, proactive, collaborative mindset with interest in energy transition and sustainability.
