Offshore Consents Specialist
Location: Remote (Travel Required)
Our client requires an Offshore specialist to support the development of two offshore wind projects located off the Northwest coast of Scotland.
The Offshore specialist will work closely with the Offshore Consent Lead for the projects. They will also engage with the wider Development team, package managers and other supporting functions across the Business.
The scope of works can be delivered from the contractor’s office or at our client’s offices in London or Glasgow with frequent travel across Scotland and occasionally further afield.

Offshore Consents Specialist

Our client requires an Offshore specialist to support the development of two offshore wind projects located off the Northwest coast of Scotland.
The Offshore specialist will work closely with the Offshore Consent Lead for the projects. They will also engage with the wider Development team, package managers and other supporting functions across the Business.

Main Tasks
- Support the delivery of the offshore consenting workstreams for both Scotwind projects, (taking responsibility for specific pieces of work),
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver Offshore consenting workstreams in a timely manner
- Prepare and submit marine licenses and thereafter, ensure works are carried out in compliance with the conditions as written
- Support the EIA and HRA delivery for the projects. The strategy for which will be set by the Offshore Consent Lead
- Liaise with the environmental stakeholders to maintain and secure necessary agreements to support the delivery of the development & construction phases,
- Work collaboratively with the Onshore Consent team to ensure a seamless project delivery
- Input into strategic consultations produced by external statutory consultees, or research and monitoring projects, where relevant to your specific project or market
- Manage specific package tasks as directed by the Offshore Consent Lead and manage key activities when the Offshore Consent Lead is out of office for prolonged periods, this may include attendance at industry groups
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant university degree in Environment or Engineering discipline
- Demonstrable competence in offshore environment, offshore consenting, licensing or related fields, with specific experience working on offshore wind
- Technical knowledge of EIA and HRA preferably within the offshore renewables industry
- Several years of experience in the renewables energy industry
- Excellent project management skills and experience of managing large projects to tight deadlines
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English and ability to communicate complex technical issues to stakeholders and package managers
