Engineering manager for project development & execution in clients growing offshore wind portfolio, specifically the US East Coast based projects. The Engineering Manager have a leading position in a development project with the responsibility to secure technical integrity and safety in design.


  • Supervision, co-ordination, Quality check of technical documentation and alignment of the engineering activities.
  • Responsible for all engineering activities related to the segregated scope of the project.
  • Ensure that technical solutions are developed and aligned with best practice, safety in design and technical leading advisors in the base organization.
  • Establish an adequate meeting structure for related engineering activities, towards other discipline areas and interface parties within the Project Team, client base organization and towards Contractor(s).
  • Follow up of Contractor’s engineering activities and performance.
  • Ensure that Company requirements and Authority requirements are understood by Contractor and implemented in the design.
  • Handling of scope change, quality control and deviations/non-conformities arising from the Engineering contractor.
  • Give input to planning and progress reporting for the Project related to engineering activities.
  • Actively use and maintain Quality System Audit and Examinations Program for the Project within engineering activities.
  • Actively work with Risk Management through the Project Risk register and follow up mitigating actions within the engineering disciplines.
  • Monitor interface engineering activities and report as required between the Engineering contract and Construction management contracts.
  • Contribute as required in contract strategy discussions and technical evaluation of tenders.
  • Ensure proactive communication with Construction, Commissioning, Operations and other stakeholders from other Engineering contracts performing design work on the same site. 
  • Ensure correct quality of and timely delivery of LCI to Operations.
  • Ensure required engineering experience transfer from other similar projects.
  • Ensure engineering experience feedback to the base organization and other projects.
  • Support the construction manager in site construction activities ensuring technical, issues are properly resolved. 


  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or the equivalent
  • At least 10 years industry engineering/ engineering management/project experience
  • Multidiscipline understanding and experience from work across disciplines
  • Experience with wind projects or onshore brownfield projects would be a plus, but not an absolute requirement
  • Commercial awareness and good understanding of total value chain
  • Familiar with contract terminology, and comfortable with communicating with contractor in a contractual manner
  • Proven track record in integration and performance management of Engineering contracts. 
  • The ability to define and prioritize issues and solve problems through networking with other team members or external sources
  • Preferably extensive knowledge within Company's governing documentation
  • Preferably good knowledge of Company's safety in design practice, but not an absolute requirement
