HSE Specialist - Solar PV
Location: Remote/Home Based - Romania
LSP Renewables have partnered with a leading independent power producer in the CEE region to recruit a HSE Specialist to take care of our clients acquired Solar PV projects in Romania. This role can be based anywhere in Romania.
Our client have been operating since 2019 and have already closed investments of more than 150MW across Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Slovakia. As well as investing and acquiring projects, they also develop their own projects in-house.

LSP Renewables have partnered with a leading independent power producer in the CEE region to recruit a HSE Specialist to take care of our clients acquired Solar PV projects in Romania. This role can be based anywhere in Romania.
Our client have been operating since 2019 and have already closed investments of more than 150MW across Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Slovakia. As well as investing and acquiring projects, they also develop their own projects in-house.
Key Responsibilities
- Support our clients growth in the CEE Region
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of company HSE procedures and local instructions
- Proactively identify risk areas at the company level and contribute to the implementation of mitigation measures
- Liaise with office employees and the Operations team to ensure compliance with legal requirements/ corporate standards and continuous improvement of working practices and processes
- Support offices and the Operations team in conducting risk assessments and ensure measures are suitable and correctly implemented
- Lead the reporting of ESG performance indicators for part of the portfolio, including hazards, incidents, resource consumption and other relevant data, and report to ESG Manager
- Conduct site HSE inspections and audits and follow up on effective close out of findings
- Promote a positive HSE culture and lead HSE training for operational and office staff in the region
- Keep up to date with relevant HSE/ ESG legislation and highlight any upcoming changes to ESG Manager
- Support ESG due diligence of new acquisitions or greenfield development projects
- Support HSE/ ESG management of construction projects across the CEE region
- Support the ESG integration of newly acquired assets
- Support the implementation of ESG initiatives
- Ensure company ESG policies and procedures are in line with the highest market standards
- Degree educated in a relevant discipline (engineering, HSE, construction etc.)
- Health and safety qualification (NEBOSH certificate/ diploma or similar)
- Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and operation of Health, Safety and Environmental management systems
- Knowledge and experience in identifying hazards and evaluating risk
- Knowledge and experience in conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Experience working in large/ international organisations and within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience conducting HSE audits and inspections is beneficial but not essential
- Experience in renewable power industry and/or construction industry is beneficial but not essential
