The main purpose of the job will be to manage resources, end-to-end procurement and logistics activities required for serving projects, including tendering, ordering, contracting and expediting for assigned categories. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate and drive procurement key tasks for assigned geographies (primarily UK) and projects.

The main purpose of the job will be to manage resources, end-to-end procurement and logistics activities required for serving projects, including tendering, ordering, contracting and expediting for assigned categories. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate and drive procurement key tasks for assigned geographies (primarily UK) and projects.
Duties and responsibilities
Category Management:
- Develop and propose category strategy for execution
- Monitor supply market’s contractor pool, technology, innovation and cost trends and report market intelligence regularly
- Identify, qualify, onboard and manage contractors for assigned category
- Identify supplier development and improvement opportunities and propose business cases
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with partner contractor
- Timely plan and execute tendering projects or portfolio of projects in alignment with relevant stakeholders like legal, asset management and engineering to ensure best value for company
- Work with legal department to negotiate supply contracts with suppliers
- Execute purchase orders and contracts with suppliers
- Propose procurement plans and sourcing strategies for projects
- Ensure timely contracting services for the assigned projects
- Ensure timely delivery of the equipment and services, including management of custom clearance and logistics
- Report procurement
- Highly professional, previous experience in the maintenance/construction or utilities industry, or ideally in the PV or other renewable energy
- Familiarity with the requirements of asset managers
- Ability to work with variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases
- Familiarity with the UK environment for commercial and large-scale solar PV – FITs, ROCs, CFD and a general appreciation of the low carbon landscape and construction sectors.
- Experience in purchase of technically complex products and services
- Fluent English verbal and written. Understanding of Spanish, would be advantageous
- Knowledge in renewable energies is a plus
- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Procurement experience of solar PV plant equipment (PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables etc) and services (civil, mechanical and electrical contracting)
- Experience of selling construction/maintenance services in a complex, high availability environment
