Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager overseeing large-scale underground cabling projects (132kV to 400kV). Responsible for end-to-end delivery from early engagement to completion, ensuring performance across safety, quality, cost and programme. You will lead site teams and manage interfaces with clients, designers, DNOs/TSOs and the supply chain. Initial focus will be supporting major EHV projects through tender and early contractor involvement. Senior Planner

Elgin (Scotland) - United Kingdom

Our client is seeking a Senior Planner. This role will be is based in Elgin, and the successful candidate will be required to attend the office four days per week as a minimum. The candidate should have demonstrable experience in delivering projects from initiation to completion. This experience does not necessarily need to come from a single project, but they must be able to clearly articulate how they have planned i.e using norms/output sheets etc and managed works based on their previous experience.  Candidates with pure project controls or pure client-side experience will not meet the requirements for this role Experience working under NEC or similar contract forms is essential, with the ability to interpret and manage programmes from a contractual perspective. Must be able to articulate how they manage progress updates and monthly reporting cycles. Demonstrated capability in evaluating programmes, including identifying and managing the critical path and implementing corrective actions where necessary. Experience in managing subcontractor programmes and ensuring alignment with overall project objectives. Advanced proficiency in project management tools and software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel is required. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate practical P6 skills during the interview. The role involves engagement with multiple stakeholders and is client-facing, therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The successful candidate should also have the ability to mentor and support junior planners, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
