HSE / CDM Expert

To support the Client HSE team in fulfilling its duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, ensuring that the appointed Principal Contractors deliver works safely, without harm to people or the environment. The HSE Expert will act as the Client’s representative on site, monitoring and influencing safe working practices throughout the construction of the onshore converter station and onshore cable route sites. Client CDM Oversight Support the Client in demonstrating compliance with CDM Regulation 4 (Client Duties). Monitor Principal Contractor activities to ensure effective implementation of the Construction Phase Plan and relevant HSE arrangements. Verify that the Principal Contractor are discharging their duties appropriately. HSE Assurance and Monitoring Conduct regular site inspections, HSE tours, and audits focusing on key risk areas (e.g. electrical safety, excavations, lifting, temporary works, and interface management). Identify unsafe acts/conditions and follow up with responsible duty holders to ensure timely closeout. Ensure compliance with UK legislation, Client HSE standards, and relevant ISO 45001 requirements. Reporting and Communication Prepare concise weekly HSE reports for the Client summarising performance, trends, and key risks. Participate in package meetings with Client team and associated Principal Contractors, raising HSE concerns and promoting proactive management of risk. Leadership and Culture Promote a strong “We Care” Culture across the project team and contractors. Champion proactive reporting (observations, near misses, and good practices). Encourage workforce engagement and wellbeing initiatives aligned with Client values. Qualifications Required NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent Level 3 H&S qualification) Member of IOSH (TechIOSH) 4+ years Demonstrable experience in onshore construction HSE management Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, UK HSE legislation, and environmental requirements. Experience auditing and monitoring Principal Contractors under CDM. Effective communication, influencing, and reporting skills. The Marine Protection Engineer will manage and coordinate all cable protection work within the project scope. Reporting to the Marine Lead Engineer, this role involves interfacing with internal and external equipment owners and coordinators to ensure seamless project execution. The position encompasses a variety of tasks, from developing project-specific procedures to participating in design reviews and HAZOPs. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate marine protection work, including cable burial, subsea rock installation, and mattress installation. Develop and implement project-specific protection procedures. Facilitate information sharing between the project, other projects, and the Marine Installation Department. Ensure all protection work is performed in accordance with project requirements. Serve as a QHSE role model. Commissioning Engineer - WTG Pre-Assembly

Work alongside the Electrical Systems Package site representatives and Client Commissioning Engineers to assist in delivering the Commissioning activities as Clients Engineer, driving the work scope forward on site to meet the project programme. Client witness and sign off for Stage 1 Commissioning for offshore Wind Turbines. Provide technical support for Project Senior Authorised Persons and M&E Engineers. Provide assistance for the Client Commissioning Manager (Lead) and SCADA Commissioning Manager. Based principally in the pre-assembly yard following the pre-commissioning activities. Initial investigation and reporting of incidents. Weekly reporting and record keeping on Progress and Issues to the Client Commissioning Manager (Lead)  Liaise with Engineering and Quality Departments to ensure Outstanding Engineering/Quality Issues are resolved. Interface with Export Cable and Offshore Substation Commissioning activities. Responsible for ensuring accurate ‘As Built’ Drawings and Commissioning Records produced by the Contractors. Certifications / Experience Required  Relevant technical education (e.g. Electrical Engineering Degree/HNC) desirable or equivalent. Certified according to VDE 0105-100 as Switching Operator (Schaltberechtigter) or eligibility to be certified with the corresponding training. Authorised Technician (with Live Testing)

The Authorised Technician is responsible for providing maintenance, servicing and inspection of wind turbines, to ensure the assets are maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. An AT with live testing will have all the responsibilities of a Limited AT but will be able to undertake work , testing and troubleshooting tasks of a higher risk/complexity that will include live testing. Including use of AWP 002 Live testing shall include : mechanical, hydraulic and pressurised systems, electrical systems and WTG controller / setting changes ( to include OEM software updates) Prerequisites in addition to Limited AT status to becoming a Full AT: Electrical Fault Finding & Electrical Awareness Training Maintenance Tasks Assessed on AWP’s & ROMP’s WTSR Course (Module 2) (an asset if in possession ) Pre-authorisation Practical Assessment - (AE offshore assessment) Assessment Panel Main Responsibilities: Promote a positive safety culture, contribute to the Ops Team delivering its Health & Safety objectives. Carryout maintenance and servicing of wind turbines, including servicing, reactive and proactive maintenance, inspections, retrofits and main component exchanges Proactively assist in all areas of site operations, working on projects, spares and other non-routine works Working Pattern: The role will be on a rotational shift basis; 14 days on / 14 days off, ‘working up to a 12hr shift each day. To note this role is considered a flexible role with periods of Service Operations Vessel (SOV) deployment as well as Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) deployment for the successful candidate. This will mean that when the SOV is at site, you will be working from the vessel on the same rotation (14 days on / 14 days off).
