A joint venture between TotalEnergies and Corio Generation, Attentive Energy, have been awarded the Attentive Energy Two project by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
Attentive Energy Two is a community driven, offshore development being created to help strengthen and expand upon the states foundational offshore wind investments. The holistic offshore wind proposal will create a range of economic opportunities statewide, reaching all 21 counties.
The 20-year contract will be New Jersey’s third offshore wind solicitation, with 1.34GW of clean energy being contributed to the New Jersey grid, helping to demonstrate the states commitment to achieving a 100% clean energy economy by 2035.
More than 15,000 jobs will be delivered to the residents of New-Jersey and billions of dollars generated in in economic activity statewide. The project will supply green power to over 650,000 homes and support the states emission reduction efforts, removing 1.3 million tons of carbon annually, the equivalent of 10% of cars from New Jersey roads.
