Job Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of construction projects to the highest standards, within budget and on time. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, contributing to the commercial success of individual projects by ensuring profitable delivery at pre-calculated margins. This position involves managing a defined group of staff, both on-site and in support roles, to ensure optimal project delivery. Effective communication, both internally and externally, is crucial to building trusted customer relationships that support future business.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver all assigned projects.
• Create and update civil and electrical programmes in line with client requirements.
• Complete electrical bill of quantities and ensure receipt of purchase orders before mobilisation on site.
• Carry out the “sales handover process” within an agreed timescale prior to mobilisation.
• Raise purchase orders for new and existing suppliers, ensuring value for money.
• Monitor and assist in the collection and reporting of financial data related to the electrical bill of quantities.
• Ensure prompt payment by providing clarity around claims relating to payment applications.
• Contribute to the pricing process during tender preparation.
• Support Health & Safety across all sites, ensuring a world-class safety culture.
• Manage the transition between civil and electrical phases to maintain safety and eliminate unnecessary costs.
• Conduct investigatory interviews with HR into incidents and manage disciplinary processes if required.
• Complete the PPR process with all staff in a timely manner.
• Identify employee training needs and arrange courses with the company.
• Manage employee absence effectively, including return to work interviews.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in effective project management.
• Experience in meeting commercial targets and managing budgets.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality management.
• Ability to plan works efficiently and manage staff.
• Proven ability to deliver strong financial performance in a contracting environment.
