Purpose;
- To provide environmental & sustainability advice, guidance and support to the project team across all operations
- Responsible for reducing the environmental risk associated with construction activities within the project team
- Provide visible environmental engagement and support across scheme and its supply chain across both England and Scotland through on site visits
- Work closely with the Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor and in partnership with the internal project team in the development and implementation of the project environmental & sustainability strategy and a proactive approach to environmental management; ensuring the risk to the environment is managed effectively
- Support the monitoring of contractor performance and compliance across all operations
- Contribute towards developing a positive environmental & sustainability culture across the project
- Advise project leadership on performance against environmental targets, opportunities and key performance indicators
- Work with colleagues from Scottish Power Transmission within the SHES Team
- Provide expertise, assistance and support for environmental incidents
- Promote a positive SHES culture through visible proactive, consistent and influential behaviours
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability and confidence to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Capability to engage and inform internal and external stakeholders in positive, constructive ways
- A drive and enthusiasm for continuous improvement and experience of change management
- Has a manner, style and presence that makes a positive impression
- Passion for embedding a positive environmental culture
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Experience of working with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders
- Current driving licence (as the role will require travel both within England and Scotland)
