Purpose;

To provide environmental & sustainability advice, guidance and support to the project team across all operations

Key Accountabilities;

Responsible for reducing the environmental risk associated with construction activities within the project team
Provide visible environmental engagement and support across scheme and its supply chain across both England and Scotland through on site visits
Work closely with the Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor and in partnership with the internal project team in the development and implementation of the project environmental & sustainability strategy and a proactive approach to environmental management; ensuring the risk to the environment is managed effectively
Support the monitoring of contractor performance and compliance across all operations
Contribute towards developing a positive environmental & sustainability culture across the project
Advise project leadership on performance against environmental targets, opportunities and key performance indicators
Work with colleagues from Scottish Power Transmission within the SHES Team
Provide expertise, assistance and support for environmental incidents
Promote a positive SHES culture through visible proactive, consistent and influential behaviours

Knowledge, Skills and Experience;

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability and confidence to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Capability to engage and inform internal and external stakeholders in positive, constructive ways
A drive and enthusiasm for continuous improvement and experience of change management
Has a manner, style and presence that makes a positive impression
Passion for embedding a positive environmental culture
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
Experience of working with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders
Current driving licence (as the role will require travel both within England and Scotland)
