Our client is looking for an experienced  Construction Manager is sought to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of construction works across substation and HV/LV lines projects throughout the UK. This role involves overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, managing contractors, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be expected to travel and stay overnight regularly across the UK to meet the needs of the projects. This position demands a high level of commitment, flexibility, and adaptability to meet project timelines and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Visiting sites to monitor and supervise construction works.
• Ensuring all constructions comply with conditions of contract, specifications, and drawings.
• Ensuring all works are carried out to a high standard.
• Ensuring all works carried out compare to any interim and final invoices prepared by contractors.
• Acting as a role model for the company Company Values.
• Collaborating with the Business Unit Leadership Team and the wider Business Unit Team.
• Coordinating with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree from a relevant construction/engineering related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant construction/engineering experience.
• Wide understanding of the building industry, construction methods, and statutory legislation, including knowledge of materials and trade methods.
• Computer literate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work throughout the UK as required.

• In-depth knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Understanding or awareness of the electrical contracting industry (desirable).
