Assistant Project Manager

LSP are looking for Assistant Project Managers to join our clients’ delivery team to deliver High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) projects. Reporting into the Project Manager, you will be part of the Project management team for the delivery of a civils/building package of works in relations to one of our onshore converter stations. This will include working within a multi-discipline project team and with framework supply chain partners.

Key Duties & responsibilities:

Work alongside the project manager to coordinate project activities, keeping stakeholder expectations and business leadership values at the forefront
Monitor contractor progress and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment & Wellbeing standards.
Support scheduling, budget & cost tracking to ensure project remain on programme & within budget.
Interface with contractors, design teams & internal/external stakeholders.
Manage project documentation including RFI’s, change events & submittals.

Desired Background:

Previous experience working with in a delivery project organisation
Knowledge and understanding of construction practices
Prior delivery of AC substations, HVDC convertor stations or similar high performance building preferred but not essential.
Knowledge & understanding of the construction *design & management) regulations 2015, Health & safety at work act 1974 and other key relevant Health, safety & environmental legislation.
Strong communication skills both written and verbally along with capability to represent SHE transmission with outside organisations.
NEC3 contract administration awareness.
