Project Developer
A leading international player in the renewable energy sector is seeking a high-caliber Project Developer to spearhead its expansion in the Austrian market. This role is designed for a strategic professional with a proven track record in developing large-scale PV and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects.
The successful candidate will lead the lifecycle of renewable energy assets—including Solar and AgriSolar—ensuring all projects align with commercial, environmental, and long-term sustainability benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management: Drive local projects through every development stage, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage external consultants, service providers, and contractors.

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Negotiate land leases and maintain critical relationships with landowners, local authorities, grid operators, and regulatory bodies.

Financial & Risk Oversight: Monitor project economic indicators and apply rigorous risk/opportunity management throughout the development cycle.

Technical Support: Assist in EPC procurement, project financing negotiations, and the evaluation of external portfolios during M&A phases.

Industry Representation: Participate in professional associations and steering committees to stay at the forefront of the Austrian energy landscape.
Candidate Profile
Technical Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of successful project development experience within the Austrian renewable energy market.

Specialized Knowledge: Strong expertise in Solar PV and Energy Storage; a solid understanding of agricultural practices (for AgriSolar solutions) is highly preferred.
