Investment Lead

Originate, evaluate, and execute renewable energy investments, including projects, portfolios, joint ventures, and companies.

Maintain strong knowledge of the Japan onshore renewables market, supporting investment strategy through market insight and opportunity screening.

Lead and support due diligence, financial modelling, risk assessment, and structuring of acquisitions, developments, and project financing transactions.

Manage commercial, legal, and financial deal execution, including negotiation of key agreements (term sheets, PPAs, EPC, O&M, JV and acquisition documents).

Prepare investment materials, teasers, and approvals for leadership and board review; support investor and lender engagement through financial close.

Coordinate advisers, regulators, and stakeholders, manage pipeline reporting, and build strong industry relationships.
What Makes You a Great Fit

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

8+ years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure funds, ideally within utilities or renewable energy.

Strong financial analysis, valuation, and forecasting skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly.

Solid understanding of securities and M&A regulations; advanced MS Office capability.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to originate and develop opportunities.

Excellent communication and team leadership skills; fluent Japanese with strong English communication.
