Responsibilities
  • Originate, evaluate, and execute renewable energy investments, including projects, portfolios, joint ventures, and companies.

  • Maintain strong knowledge of the Japan onshore renewables market, supporting investment strategy through market insight and opportunity screening.

  • Lead and support due diligence, financial modelling, risk assessment, and structuring of acquisitions, developments, and project financing transactions.

  • Manage commercial, legal, and financial deal execution, including negotiation of key agreements (term sheets, PPAs, EPC, O&M, JV and acquisition documents).

  • Prepare investment materials, teasers, and approvals for leadership and board review; support investor and lender engagement through financial close.

  • Coordinate advisers, regulators, and stakeholders, manage pipeline reporting, and build strong industry relationships.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • 8+ years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure funds, ideally within utilities or renewable energy.

  • Strong financial analysis, valuation, and forecasting skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly.

  • Solid understanding of securities and M&A regulations; advanced MS Office capability.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to originate and develop opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills; fluent Japanese with strong English communication.
